We want to take some time and explain some of our keywords. The words that you punch into Google or whichever search engine you’re using to find someone that actually sells that product.
The keywords we’re looking at today are: “accredited”, “investor list” and “lists”. That’s usually what you guys punch in Google or whatever the search engine is. So let’s break it down.
Accredited. An accredited investor is defined by the Security Exchange Commission as someone that makes at least $200,000 a year for the last two years, or $300,000 combined income, or $1,000,000 net worth not including your home, and experience in managing your personal portfolio. So that’s what the word accredited means.
Investor. An Investor is a person that buys different types of investments. It could be real estate. It could be a stock. It could be bullion. It could be a car.
Investment. An investment is something that you put money into with the hope that with time, the actual value would increase. So now we’ve got the accredited. We’ve got the investor.
Let’s define “list” and “lists”. A list is a bunch of sales leads or a bunch of names, addresses and phone numbers. So when you’re talking about a list, it’s John Smith and it’s Joe Duke and it’s George Wilson and what it is it’s a number of these people’s name, address and phone numbers. That’s what a list is. Singular. Lists is one particular list. It could have come from one particular brokerage firm or it could have come from one source, maybe a website, an opt-in website whatever. So what a list is is just a number of names. Lists, plural means this can be from one particular source. The list of names, addresses and phone numbers of 1,000…1,500 names could be from another different lead source. So I hope I clarified that. The terms accredited investor “list” or “lists” are what we’re trying to break down here. This is what we’re trying to help you out with.
